Butt Plugs and Hemorrhoids

Hemorrhoids are a common issue nowadays. No matter if they are caused by improper diet or if you’re simply genetically predisposed, they can be a serious problem.

If you look at official statistics, you will see that the number of people who suffer from hemorrhoids is constantly rising. Furthermore, it is expected that by the late 2020s one in two people will be affected by some form of hemorrhoids.

So what can you do?

There are many things that you can do to resolve this issue, but of course, there is no such thing as a universal remedy. For some people, exercise can do some real wonders, and for others, all it takes is a change in dietary habits.

But what if that doesn’t help? What should they do then?

One common solution that many people consider comes in the form of butt plugs.

So what are butt plugs? Can they really be an effective way to fight against hemorrhoids?

We will discuss all of these issues (and more) in this article.

What Are Hemorrhoids?

Hemorrhoids (or piles) are swollen veins in your anus, as well as the lower parts of your rectum. In some cases, you may not even know that you have them, while in others, you will definitely be aware of it, as you will have some pretty inconvenient symptoms.

Some of these symptoms include (but are not limited to):

  • You may experience bleeding during (and after) having a bowel movement.
  • You may have an itchy anus.
  • A lump may be hanging around just outside of your anus. You might need to push it back inside once you’ve passed the stool.
  • A person might see a mucus discharge after passing the stool as well.
  • Don’t be surprised if you experience redness, swelling, or even soreness around your anus.

In most cases, you won’t experience any pain whatsoever. However, if your blood supply is interrupted or is otherwise slowed down, you can expect a certain degree of discomfort.

What’s the Cause of Hemorrhoids?

Many things can cause this issue, and there is no clear consensus on which side effect has the highest risk factor. If you have increased pressure in the blood vessels around your anal area, you will most likely suffer from hemorrhoids at some point in time.

Another common cause of this problem is too much straining during bowel movement. The same thing applies to prolonged constipation, and this cause is usually directly connected to the previous one.

This particular issue can often be resolved with a change in your diet and an increase in dietary fiber. If you have chronic, ongoing diarrhea, the side effect can also be the formation of hemorrhoids.

These are just some common causes of hemorrhoids. Many other factors can cause this issue as well, and some of them are:

  • Obesity: Excess pounds can significantly increase the risk of hemorrhoids.
  • Age: The older you are, the more prone to hemorrhoids you’ll be.
  • Pregnancy: Being pregnant can significantly pressure your pelvic blood vessels. As a result, you may get hemorrhoids, as well as all the typical symptoms that we’ve listed above.
  • Genetics: If someone in your family already had hemorrhoids, chances are, you may get them too.
  • Lifting heavy objects: If you lift heavy objects on a regular basis, you have an increased risk of hemorrhoids.
  • Sedentary lifestyle: If you’re not active and you sit too much, that may cause hemorrhoids down the road as well.

How Should I Treat My Hemorrhoids and Can I Prevent Them in Any Way?

We will talk about butt plugs as a potential method for resolving your hemorrhoids issue. But right now, let’s talk about some basic tips on how you can treat, and even prevent them from happening in the first place.

Here are the tips that you should consider:

  • As we’ve mentioned above, try to improve your diet. Usually, all you need to do is increase the daily intake of dietary fiber. You can easily do that by eating more fruits, vegetables, nuts, oats, and seeds. You can even try wholegrain rice if you want as well.
  • Drink fluid as often as you can. Of course, we always recommend pure water, but you can take some juice from time to time. Try to reduce alcohol and caffeine as much as possible.
  • Never delay going to the toilet. You may end up with constipation in the long run, and as we’ve mentioned, that’s a major risk factor for the formation of hemorrhoids.
  • Avoid any medication that can cause constipation as well. You should especially avoid painkillers with codeine.
  • If you’re obese or overweight, you should certainly lose some weight.
  • Make sure you exercise on a daily basis. Regular exercise is very effective against constipation, and it can significantly lower your blood pressure.

If you follow these crucial steps, you may prevent hemorrhoids from ever occurring in the first place. If that doesn’t help, you can try using special creams and ointments.

Can You Use Medical Butt Plugs While Suffering From Hemorrhoids?

The answer is yes. However, we should point out that medical butt plugs have a somewhat controversial history.

Namely, with their initial introduction, medical authorities praised them as “miracle cures”. Some people even said that medical butt plugs can cure insanity!

Obviously, that’s an exaggeration, but medical butt plugs can indeed be helpful in some situations.

But can you use medical butt plugs while suffering from hemorrhoids?

Well, you can use them to relax your anal muscles, which, according to some sources, should significantly reduce any pain, redness, or swelling that comes with hemorrhoids. At the same time, using them regularly can even make your anal sex much more enjoyable.

All in all, butt plugs can certainly be used while having hemorrhoids, but whether or not you should do it is a matter of controversy.

As we’ve mentioned, science used to treat them as true medical wonders. In an older textbook, we’ve found a statement that even claimed that they could make your entire body stronger.

The author also added that they could be very effective against constipation, and even restore your sphincter muscles to their normal condition.

However, modern medicine couldn’t confirm these findings. Therefore, we simply can’t recommend using butt plugs if you’re suffering from hemorrhoids.

Can Butt Plugs Help With Hemorrhoids?

While some people believe that butt plugs can help alleviate hemorrhoid symptoms, the common consensus is that you should avoid using them if you’re suffering from this ailment. In fact, they can make your symptoms even worse.

If you look at various online forums, you will see many people recommending butt plugs for hemorrhoid sufferers. In some occasions, you may even get a link that will directly lead you to a page where you can buy “the ultimate” butt plug.

This product, of course, would instantly resolve all of your issues (according to the sellers). It’s obvious that these claims have no scientific background, which is why you need to be very careful.

"Pseudoscience is one of the most dangerous things that exist today, and as responsible authors, we need to warn our readers whenever we can."

If you want to have enjoyable anal sex while suffering from hemorrhoids, it’s best not to put any foreign objects inside your anus until your issues are resolved. While you’ll likely have no side effects, your health will still be in danger.

The truth is that butt plugs are often very firm, and they can easily make your hemorrhoids rupture. And of course, if you take no action at that point in time, things can get much worse.

You can use butt plugs during intercourse, but we would highly advise against that if you’re suffering from hemorrhoids. If you want to get rid of that pesky ailment, you should use one of the strategies that we’ve mentioned above. And if that doesn’t help, you should consult with your doctor.

Butt plugs will not resolve your symptoms and, in our opinion, you should avoid using them until you’ve dealt with your hemorrhoid problem!
